Transcription: First I wanted to be a vet. I loved animals. Then I couldn't decide between a lighthouse keeper and a forest ranger. And then I wanted to be a nun. But my father died before I turned 18. And so my mother had six children and she was in New York. And we didn't have any money. So it seemed that I couldn't contemplate doing anything but helping out. at least pulling my own weight and maybe helping her. That's really, I think, what can you do? I had no skills at all. And in school, at school I'd done okay at acting, but I had no conviction or any confidence that anyone would ever hire me.
